There is much to be said about these two thoughts, aging and living. One should age gracefully and in so doing, live well. The quality of life does not have to be limited due to aging. As we have said there is no measure of time except that which you assign to it. Accordingly, you age in a corresponding manner. Life is truly what YOU make it. It becomes the reality you allow it to become. You can relive your past and not let go of it or you can live in your present and enjoy the time you have. Oh, indeed there are many 'boo-hoo-ers' running all over the place bonding with their illness - their sore knees, their diabetes, their bad skin, their race, their sexual preference, their lack of letters of designation after their names. Poor children. Indeed. You know the old saying that there is always someone worse off than yourself? Indeed, this is so. But then again, why care and what does it have to do with you?

Focus on the task, not the fear of the task. Looking back in time brings us to this moment in time. In the 1800's there was an outbreak of viruses and flus that claimed many of your population. Again, through time all 'things' adapt, even viruses. At one time HIV was a virus that was 'let loose' within your populations as a means to control less-worthy, or disposable sections of the world and to have those people, as a control group, be studied. This was a means, an attempt, to purge or cleanse those that were disposable. It spread in ways that were not planned on by your governments and spread into populations beyond the control groups that it was intended to impact. There are 'things' that should be of greater concern. You make your own problems by creating them. The populations and segments of 'have and have nots' is growing in a very dynamically unprecedented manner. If those who have power, those who consider themselves 'elite' and better than others continue, through politics and hidden agendas to segmentize the social-economic structures of the world and 'cleanse' those they consider marginal from their societies, then who will do their work for them? When one paints themselves into a corner it is, oftentimes, most difficult to get out without leaving tracks which show that the trail led to you. At this moment it is terrorism and fear building - by establishing a certain type or category of person as an enemy to civilized society - that is being used to keep global awareness misdirected from a power base that is restructuring the globalization of wealth and power. These power brokers come and go and you can find them laced through time and civilizations. Your history will be the established record that judges them and there is always time, and time has a clarity that you cannot find in 'the moment'.

Unclean practices, based on growth in populated segments of the world where individuals cannot wash, where there is no potable water, where there is no sanitation and where there is no standard of quality of life, just existence, is the greatest concern - here, in places like Bangkok, Taipei, Shanghai, Asia, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Africa, a tragically impacted continent that has some of the greatest untapped oil and mineral reserves in the world. Here there are animal traders that pack animals in tight spaces with little regard for life, even their own, other than to subsist. It is in these places of darkness that germs and viruses are spread and over time they cross hybridize into mutated viruses that spread across and into other animal species and then across and into their human hosts. These super viruses have taken evolutionary steps that will make the HIV retro-viruses look tame. There is no such thing as a disposable society. There is no such thing as a disposable person. Any lost life is lost to the wholeness of society.

These new viruses will spread across continents with the continued trans-global travel abilities that exist in today's society. Here, there is no line based on social or economic levels that will insulate any one person against this virus, so if anyone thinks their stature is going to exclude them from something that doesn't recognize stature or status, they are mistaken. There is no guarantee of those who can, may or will be impacted by these viruses. Something that will start as a seemingly harmless flu will have the potential of laying claim to hundreds of thousands of lives. Why will there not be medicines available? Some of you will read this and smile and smile and question and turn, thinking how silly and impracticable. That could never happen. It may well.

You see, in your arrogance and especially in The Untied States of America, there has been a thought that all is equal and that there is a fairness of access for all people to a standard of care and life. One 'thing' this recent hurricane should have told all of you across the world is that government serves those who are empowered by being within it, not those who are outside of it. Your government is not a subjective instrument that serves the populations that it is designed to. It is as illiterate and as self indulgent as those it looks down upon. There is a false illusion of reality that is built around those who live within insulated realities. As long as they, those that hold power, are removed from experience - the reality of their constituents' experiences - there will not be fairness for how can those who have food know what it is like not to have food? How can those who have shelter know what it is like not to have shelter? What is another day but just that another day in their insulated reality? But herein is the flaw. There is a dualistic relationship that exists and a fragile balance of limited truthfulness that has to be maintained for the fewer to be allowed to remain in power by the many who will do their dying for them. For the days will come when the rhetoric will fall on deafened ears, hungry bellies and the sick for they are the many that allow the few their false illusions of power. Times change as time has no boundaries. Truths will come to light and this is the proof of time.

The services you depend upon to keep you well are very much tied to your governments and large 'for-profit industries' whose first priority is to maintain a substantial profit margin and that has little to do with ridding society of illnesses, but very much to do with the protracted treatment of illnesses. This is why so many will be impacted by these new viruses. There is available treatment, but many of you, especially those in the United States of America, are not prepared for this. We have concerns for England and France as well. Poorer segments of societies have always been thought of and viewed as non-touchable or expendable. Even in Scriptural times those in power sought to hide or 'cleanse' those who did not serve their concepts of viability. When the Romans crucified heretics of the times, those who spoke out against the government, they oftentimes broke their leg bones to quicken their deaths by making it easier for infections or for them to bleed to death. After they died they were left up as reminders or burnt or made into animal foods for the troop's dogs or the animals in the games. Fear. The sight of fear.

Religion and politics and politics and religions. Like laws, scripture and even The Holy Bible and Torah are subjective instruments to be used and tempered by mankind and the women and men who apply it as these are given life through the interpretations mankind gives unto them. Those who apply these interpretations also impact life to the body of the law and scripture. These guidelines serve mankind as mankind serves the body of these laws and scriptures by giving them life, meaning they can be subjectively applied and expanded in a growing and adaptive manner. This is the living body of Christ. The physical need for a tangible God serves to connect those trying to interpret that abstract concept to their everyday reality. This is why mankind tries to recreate God in its own image.

It would create quite a flax if we said to you that there was no ascension of the physical Jesus as thought. But inasmuch as saying this, we already have for it is so. It is the belief that makes something so. The symbol of some 'thing' has the power that the belief gives it. Religion is not based on fact but rather on belief and it exists as a symbol. The body of Christ is the belief you have in it. It goes beyond the factuality of what science can prove and serves as an ideology. The strength of it rests in your demonstration of faith.

There are no disposable people. There are no people who deserve to be treated more fairly than any other. There are but ONE people and one human story. It is the story of humanity, a global humanity. When you give people power over you and you impart them to act on your behalf remember you retain the subjective instrument of reason to gauge the quality of how well they represent your interests.

Use your belief in yourself. Trust your judgments and inner voices. Focus on the art of aging gracefully and living well. Use common sense. Use your reason and question when something does not feel right. As you grow older you collect more experiences that you can use to temper your reason. Being aware of your connection to others is one of your greatest strengths and seeing yourselves as a global family will only better your own life quality.
